Russ, you should get OpenOffice. It's free and handles .xls files fine.

The data in that file doesn't break down hybrid ARMs, though. It just gives the monthly ARM/(ARM+Fixed) percentage.

I don't see a sudden swelling of interest payments occurring based on loan originations at any particular time. It's just a general case of the more that LIBOR rises the more borrowers get screwed.
