We haven't gotten to that question yet, we are still trying to find out why complex life forms developed on earth.

We know that there have been tens of thousands of sightings of space aliens over the centuries. Also there have been hundreds of reports about people being captured by space aliens and probed, anally or otherwise.

So it's not too big a stretch to decide that the anal probings were part of the space aliens' genetic modification program.
