But the theory of evolution doesn't go towards origination it goes toward development. Origination is another question altogether, and I think it is foolish to even venture a guess until we become acquainted with some of the thousands of other civilizations (actually the number could be infinite) in the universe(s). For the time being the best we can hope for is an explanation of how life on earth went from single-celled organism to homo sapiens. The intervention of space aliens is as or more probable than the intervention of a supernatural entity that nobody has ever seen or heard (Moses was in all probability speaking with Metatron, not God).
