Or, preferably, the unquestionable detectability of the alien him/her/itself, plainly visible or sensible to all. Like the temperature of the room, the presence of aliens would best be established through an objective measurement. Just an ugly guy in a suit and in possession of anal probes SAYING that they are an alien wouldn't cut the mustard. It would be particularly convincing to have a biopsy sample over several tissues to establish non-terrestrial origin by DNA or other biochemistry, hither to not seen...
