On that we agree. One thing consistent about Bush is that he creates a bold vision that seduces Republicans like me and then botches it in the execution. He did this with the tax cuts, with medicare, and with Iraq. So I do worry that he will botch social security as well. He didn't botch the tax cuts or medicare. He's just not good with numbers and fiscal responsibility. In fact, he's behaving very much like a former frat boy cheerleader who was drunk most of the time when in school. Its the GOP who project god like abilities on the man. He is what he is. As for his bold vision, its the wishful thinking of the GOP......they want no taxes and a minimized gov't while they start expensive wars. Its the impossible dream. ted
