I always thought of the markets as a horse race without a finish line, and where you could cash out your bet as the race was run.

Sometimes when I'm staring at the screen, poised to place a trade, the room seems vaguely like a dingy railroad car. I see an old alcoholic puffing on a cigarette, sharing his wisdom with a slightly plumb, graying guy with a guitar. You do need to know when to fold'em! <vbg>
