John, a more relevant statement would be: Do you remember how the world was much calmer before 9/11? Americans are very happy to be left alone and spend their extra energy on making a good living, but we don't like being attacked. The Muslim world is finding out that once you awaken the sleeping American beast, the consequences are very much akin to a bull in a china shop. I'd happily go back to before 9/11, if that were possible. But since it's not, I refuse to shove my head in the sand. Instead, I'll deal with the world as it is.
