All disciplines have dogma. Would you argue that the dogma of economics, or physics, for example- is equivalent to religious dogma?

An authoritative principle, belief, or statement of ideas or opinion, especially one considered to be absolutely true. Absolutely true in science? Not many cases of this kind of absolutism. H20 is absolutely hydrogen and oxygen in a compound. To about 15 nines : 0.9999999999999999. Perhaps. But dogma in the sense of religious dogma? No. All of evolution COULD be overturned by a single fossil. Not likely, but could happen. The Pope doesn't ever come out and say "I believe in God to 1 part in 10 trillion" or "I'll stop believing in Jesus if XYZ occurs". Just doesn't happen.
