You're correct. The looting of the banking system, and the eventual taxpayer bailout by the Resolution Trust Corporation (what did it cost, $200 Billion?), all began one afternoon on October 15, 1982 when Ronald Reagan woke up from his nap and signed the Garn-St Germain Banking Act into law.

I find your perspective fascinating! Senators Garn and St Germain were criminals who duped the befuddled and plainly ignorant Ronald Reagan into signing the law. Had he understood what he was signing, he never would have done so.

All of the banking related contributions to Reagan's campaign were no doubt done behind Reagan's back by some evil person. Probably that secretary Patsy. I always thought there was something shift about the way she looked.
