Heck you can't even renounce your citizenship and leave the country if you have a net worth of over $500k. In that case your see and doing it for tax reasons.
If you jusy expatriate and think you can avoid income tax, forget that too, the US taxes you wherever you live.

Actually, IMHO, it's medicare that is the important thing, not social security. If I had to make a choice I'd pay in just for the medicare.
