Flash was, in reality, 28.5% of revenues. It had a -8% net operating margin. That compares with -14% at Intel's ICG.

Why are you comparing all of AMD's Flash operations with an entire Group at Intel of which Flash only comprises a piece?

On another note, I am being swayed that AMD should dump Flash but who would buy it? If they spin it off what value would that be to AMD shareholders?

I've heard references to statements that AMD will compete aggressively in attempts to regain market share. That sounds like AMD will be selling at a steep loss in an attempt to harm Intel. How do you reconcile this predatory behavior with your criticism of what was in your mind similar behavior by Intel?
