The words about "cut some cost some more" and "drive harder" etc. etc. are BS. Why had they not cut prices already? Why were they not driving harder already? We have been hearing about the advantages of Mirrorbit for more than 3 years now w/o any effect apparent to the cost structure or competitive position.

Isn't upgradation to a better fab process continuous. Doesn't transition reduce cost over period of time. To be fair AMD should reduce cost every quarter as natural sequence.

S. Bhat

It´s indeed BS. They said the same thing at the last CC. And it obviously didn´t work.

Also, on the CPG side, sales were obviously more weighted to the Sempron side than they expected. Which in turn means that higher-end sales came in below expectations, confirming the dissapointment I´ve expressed here time and time again wrt. the Athlon 64 adoption. Hopefully, they´ll be able to do something about it.
