If Bush really wanted to know if Saddam had WMDs for sure (as if we couldn't tell) then he would have let the inspectors run their course. He couldn't let the inspectors finish because that would have taken out the inane lynchpin in his lies.

The Bush WMD stories are absolutely bizarre:

- ships with drones that could deliver nukes to the Eastern Seaboard
- chemical weapons trucks running around the country

Who the heck made up these ridiculous nutcase lies? He's still blaming the CIA but it was Cheney who sat down and pressured analysts into falsifying their reports. The WH then falsified their reports even further by taking out all of the caveats.

This wasn't a failure of intelligence, it was a deliberate scam on the American Public. Now, can it be believed that Iran is within months of enriching uranium to give to terrorist groups?

Huh?

Bush et al have been wrong about everything in the ME. Does anyone remember how each province was to have an American military governor? What happened to that idea?

It's unbelievable how little information gets out, gets repeated and gets remembered.
