Why would Canadian firms close shop just because the government was forcing price controls on them if they believed that price controls were a public good? Because if they actually are private unsubsidized firms, they have to run a profit. "Public good" be d**es if you can't pay your suppliers and workers. I DO notice fresc conpletely dodged the question about all those Canadian vaccine makers. Convenient. Canada does not have the problem with rabid tort lawyers yet.* Does the Canadian legal system even allow such to exist? This is a function of legislated economics. Tight caps and no class action suits pretty much wipe out that industry. According to fresc, apparently Canada has at least the caps. Of course, he didn't back his claim; just made it.
