I did see that and sent an article to my friend who works with fannie. He has not responded, but when he does I'm certain it will be some optimistic garbage about "making housing affordable for the people". I think Fannie may be a cult.

Your guess on principal is probably correct. Still more principal than a five year interest only <g>.

We know it will end badly. Just don't know when.
