well, maybe it's a put-buying opp? the June 70 puts i bought a few days ago (when FNM was around 70) have only gained a buck.

It could be organized support by MF. Or someone knows inside info. The agency debt spread is still very tiny. Asian CBs are buying agency debt (bailing out FNM?).

Earnings restatements didn't spur mass selling; CEO being fired didn't spur mass selling; large planned dilution didn't spur mass selling; credible accusations of insolvency didn't spur mass selling... why should a dividend cut? Ha! /BSG
