Say whatever about Rush...he certainly makes the mind think more than Desperate Housewives, or any of the "reality" shows do...Does he have 30 million listeners now? Maybe if the left works at it, they will have someone we can listen to as well. Alan Colmes is interesting on the radio, except when he gets on a true left rant...

My gripe with the Rush symbol is that the movement he spawned is defining thinking down. Calling it "entertainment" makes it seem benign but I think it's an unfavorable trend.

Your extensive familiarity with the way people sound who call Rush might almost mean that you had tuned him in by accident at some point. Perhaps it was just for a second or two as your car radio was scanning for the next clear station.

But clearly, long enough to recognize that they sound like they think that what they've said was brilliant.
