Because in the past, terrorism threats were largely just threats. Now they have succeeded in attacking us. So that makes it a little more real for Americans. And this justifies the madness we have unleashed? We do all kinds of garbage for 50-100 years and then they do one act of insanity and we respond with over the top. We need to change "an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth" to "a nation for an eye and a region for a tooth". The scales of equity are terribly askew. And what about the incident in Indonesia? What does that tell you? ted
