cirrus....."I have a great deal of respect for George H.W. Bush. I voted for him in 1992. My "comment" about him being "untrustworthy" is not me trying to "dig" the ex-president, it is in the context of trying to explain why the Shiites feel America is untrustworthy."....

With all due respect as to why some muslims in Iraq and elsewhere feel that America is untrustworthy IMO is due to the obvious fact that most muslim countries populations hate America ....Hate of America is inbred or taught from birth in muslim schools by radical muslim clerics....kids for the most part grow up believing what they have been taught and rightfully so....why shouldn't they believe what they know to be true? Most kids in America have been taught to be tolerant of other countries and their cultures and religions and IMO this is one of the beliefs within our culture that muslim terrorists are able to use so well to kill us.

If we in the civilized world were able to think and act as islam terrorists do and with the fire power available to America the war against radical islam would be a very short one indeed with a lot less loss of life on the American side and America's allies.
