There were clues before then. Like most you probably missed how, no matter what the problem was, the solution was a tax cut. The only thing that is important to Bush is to forward his agenda. In the service of that, the ends justify the means and blind loyalty gets rewarded and any deviation from that gets punished. That is why this administration sees no real problem with torture and thinks the Geneva Conventions are "quaint". Couple that with an unshakable believe that they are right and you have all of the ingredients of a debacle(or, more likely, debacles) of biblical proportions...
