The Arabs didn't make any preconditions to anything because they weren't prepared to negotiate with someone whose existence they refused to recognize. They just went to the UN and made unconditional demands.

No, surrender of Palestinian claims were not a precondition of negotiation. Palestinian claims were to be a SUBJECT of negotiation. This was rejected because it admitted Israel as a party of negotiation.
