Only that it is probably two Prescott cores with an 800MHz FSB at a much reduced clock rate. Given that a large percentage of desktop applications are single-threaded...

The 3800 P4 box is a high-end product, so the box-makers are less upset about the ridiculous cooling requirements. Margins are lower in the mid-range, so the cooling requirement is more of a burden there.
