Assuming Intel has good yields then the difference in cost is going to be a small percentage of the selling price. Maybe only $10 more than a single core P4. There is little additional packaging cost and I'm not going to speculate on the test cost. That's an interesting challenge. Must they be tested sequentially or can they be tested in parallel?

profit margin on the $250 part is probably 80%, 90% on $500 part.
