China, as of the end of Nov. 2004, held $191.1 billion US debt, including all long/mid/short term debt, accounting for 33.3% of all China's foreign reserve. This is significantly lower than most of people claimed. I did not calculate myself, I got the number from some Chinese news.

I believe both numbers could be accurate.
My guess is the number you translated was ALL reserves not just US$ reserves.
Perhaps you can double check.

Leading Index Continues to Indicate Slow Growth In the Near Term The U.S leading index rose 0.2% in December after a revised 0.3% increase in the prior month. These two monthly gains follow a string of five monthly declines. On a year-to-year basis, the leading index increased 0.79% in December, which is a significant deceleration from the 4.9% gain seen in early-2004.
