Ummmm... I dunno. I spent grades 1-8 in a parochial school in the early sixties. The nuns didn't advise us to go out and kill protestants, but they tried to drum it into our heads that protestants were bad. They tried to drum a lot of other stuff into our heads, too, that didn't take. I have a friend in Toronto who says that the Arab street doesn't hate America per se. His relatives in Iran march chanting "Death to America", then go home and watch American movies on their illegal sat dishes. To get along with the ruling powers in Iran you've got to behave like you hate America, but, in reality, they see the whole thing as a charade. They don't LOVE us, but they don't HATE us either... Most kids in America have been taught to be tolerant of other countries and their cultures and religions and IMO this is one of the beliefs within our culture
