How would I know what the MSS will be and why is it so important that I guess?

You can't know. You can easily guess. My guess is 8.5% exiting Q4 04 and 9.5%, 11.5%, 14% and 17% for Q1,2,3,4 05. What's yours?

real demand for x86-64 that was going unfulfilled before Intel's entry

Well that's one way to intepret the numbers ;-). It's more likely to be those who already have Xeons not wanting to change hardware kit and/or supplier. It's quite funny but I am sure I heard Paul Otellini and Craig Barrett say in the past there was no real demand or need for x86-64 ;-).

Elmer,

Xeon SKUs confirms that there is a real demand for x86-64 that was going unfulfilled before Intel's entry.

How do you reconcile that with statements of Intel executives prior to 64 bit Xeon launch? Were they smoking something when they said there is no demand for x86-64?
