Unlike the Jewish Agency, the Mufti consolidated his position through a vicious campaign of assassination which essentially prevented Palestinian Arab society from organizing itself, since making yourself known was an invitation to assassination and the Mufti brooked no institutional threats to his personal power. The Mufti not only controlled Arab Palestine but micromanaged it; he had a hand in every pot. In fact, ever facet of Arafat's style of rule was following in the Mufti's footsteps. The Mufti's men, village fighters specializing in banditry, terrorism and raids, were the Palestinian Arab fighting force. After the Brits finally kicked out the Mufti in 1939 (he spent WWII in Berlin with his good buddy Adolf; he was an ardent Nazi), the fighters were led in country by the Mufti's cousin, Abdel Khader Husseini. So once again, your comments demonstrate your essential ignorance of the situation, beyond what you've gleaned from Palestinian propaganda sites.
