1) Saddam's diplomats were expelled from the Philippines in 1991 and in 2003 for aiding terrorists which attacked and killed Americans in that country. Saddam gave safe haven to Abdul Rahman Yasin, who made the explosive used in the first attempt to bring down the WTC (the State Dept put a $2M reward on him). Khala Khadar al-Salahat, an Abu Nidal deputy who provided the Semtex to Libyan agents used to bring down Pan Am 103, was captured in Baghdad by US Marines. Saddam tried to have ex-President Bush assassinated. Russian intelligence warned the US prior to 911 that Iraq intended to launch terror attacks against the US. It wouldn't have been out of character based on Saddam's past actions. Saddam's history combined with his continuing long-term plans to develop WMD's made him a threat to the country.

2) I did not claim or say "There is a single Islamic terror movement that is focused on the struggle over Iraq's future". Your placement of that sentence in quotes would appear to be a mistake. I do think, most Islamic terror groups inclined to attack America are focused on Iraq now, though.

3) Neither you nor I know how many terrorists there are, nor do we know if their numbers are increasing or decreasing. Your belief that they are increasing is simply your opinion which is colored by your desire to have an argument for your anti-war position.
