That was the path of Japan, Rome after Nero, and a host of other countries including the USA today. It did not work in Rome, Japan, and it will not work here either. "It's NOT different this time.">>

Of course it won't work....but the reason it is what is done is political expediency; it's easier than taking the harder, shorter path of allowing markets to clear and getting on with it. I'm confident our fearless leaders will do no better.
