So do you think we ought not to seek cooperation in the war on terror even from nations with repressive regimes?

Leftwing BS....9/11 changed the calculus as far as nation building goes...our own freedoms and security are tied up with the freedom and security of other nations on this globe. Dysfunctional states where terror is allowed a base so that it can flourish need to be dealt with....GWB recognizes this....If we continue to think as we did prior to 9/11 we will not be safe....

Suma, the hypocrites are those like this writer who one day lambast Bush for not appeasing thugs and tyrants like Saddam, Kim and Osama, and then lambast him the next for constructively engaging China, Russia and Pakistan.

The goal, however idealistic, remains the same. The means of achieving it necessarily differs from one situtation to the next.
