Not all Islamic people want our hide. We had a lot of Iraqis civilians on our side after 9/11 but we have destroyed a lot of the good will with our having 1.Imprisoned some wrongly, 2. Committed the atrocities against their brethren 3. Killed a lot of innocents in our fight in Iraq. How does one get back the trust. It all remains to be seen. Do not forget that when Bin Laden..not Iraqis attacked us with Saudi accomplices that it was because of his perception that we were on their sacred land. I seriously do not believe that 9/11 would have occurred had we not meddled in their affairs.Or that it was their perception that we did. Do you ever think that it is not that they want to kill us all but that they want independence from us. I know they perceive us as Infidels but those are just the rantings of the extremists. In trying to eliminate them we have done immeasurable damage to relations with other Arab nations.. Is this naive. I am sure Nadine would say yes and she has a great grasp of the Middle East .
