"I'd be wearing a berka if Bush hadn't gone in." Was a quote from the mother of a dead soldier in Iraq I saw on The News Hour on PBS. They did a piece on Ohio voters and they talked to mothers of dead soldiers that supported and opposed the Iraq invasion. They also went to a Prayer Breakfast attended by the major, chief of police, fire chief, high school principal, etc and they went around the table saying their version of how god chose Bush to be president at this special time blah blah blah. It was sickening. There are so many demented delusional people in this country it's terrifying. These elected government officials were invoking christianity in their official business meeting. That's a violation of church and state and we just keep sinking deeper and deeper. I think the IRS should investigate every church and if they endorsed and campaigned for Bush their charitable tax status should be revoked. This will never happen because the law doesn't cover Bush supporters, only his opponents. Bush caused our problems by ignoring copious amounts of information from career intelligence and state dept officials saying Iraq was crumbling and no threat and the al Qeada was planning to use planes for an attack. Bush's gross negligence and incompetence and that of his staff especially Rice candi have brought all of this on.
