If you judge ahead of time that anybody who is a neocon or agrees with Bush's policy is dishonest, I guess that saves you the trouble of examining their ideas on the merits or coming up with any ideas of your own.

The Left is going to have to abandon this shtick: "What's the matter with you, America? How could you vote for Bush? don't you know that Republicans are Evil? (Except for those who had a disagreement with Bush, we'll accept that their "honesty" might atone for some part of their evil)"

Republicans have their ideas, yes even the dread neocons, and they hold them honestly. The Left is going to have to get some up-to-date ideas of its own if it doesn't want to spend a long time in the minority. Waiting for the Republicans to mess up and hoping to get in power by default is not good enough.
