I thought Saddam did that. The sanctions stopped him from creating WMD.

Remember those? That was the main reason for going to war. You all seem to forget about that and bring up all the other things that Saddam did. Terrible things yes, but reason to rush to war? That was the rational for over a thousand dead americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis. A continuing death toll.

You just seem to forget or to minimize that. Why?

Nope. The military sanctions kept Saddam from getting WMDs. The economic sanctions, which killed Iraqi children was what some people were against. I don't know of any group that demanded removal of the military sanctions.
