> the Lomonosov biotic theory of oil production, and therefore its finite amount in the earth, has been thoroughly disproved and discredited.

>>Fossil fuel may not require fossils, as the pressure of deep Earth has been found capable of creating hydrocarbons from inorganic matter.

The findings, by an American team of researchers, suggest that hydrocarbons, the main constituents of fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum and natural gas, could be extracted from a virtually endless source.

"These experiments point to the possibility of an inorganic source of hydrocarbons at great depth in the Earth—that is, hydrocarbons that come from simple reactions between water and rock and not just from the decomposition of living organisms," says researcher Russell Hemley of the Carnegie Institution of Washington's Geophysical Laboratory in DC.<<

Which means, effectively, an endless supply of oil. Those with SUVs can now relax.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting stuff. I ran across this article linked from the site you posted and thought it was a good read, although I generally hate anything that kicks off with begging for love gifts.

I can recall reading a few articles here and there over the years, about how some oil company "used up" all the oil in a hole, only to go back a few years later and find it full again. The trouble I have with the peak oil theories I've seen is the near total lack of logic in their logic. The date is often wrong, and the arguments are frequently false to fact.

In the mean time, it sort of makes one wonder what sort of shill Mike Rupert is, and who for.
