Here's my idea of where this presidency is at:
Controlled immigration is the answer to social security money shortages. More young workers makes the economy grow and they can pay more social security taxes for Bush to divert to his rapture crusade on the way to his self-fulfilling prophecy of the end of times where he is the Anti-Christ who thinks he is Christ reborn. I hope he looks in the mirror one day and realizes that his hair is too short and his horns too long and sees the dullard's face of Tommy Smothers stupidly looking back at him! Sorry Tommy!

MY focus is not on the speeches of Bush -- I judge him by policy. The base of his support is the extreme religious right -- but this group alone is not large enough to win elections so Bush needs fear-based issues, like terrorism, to get anywhere near the center.

Bush offers little hope from a policy perspective for the center. The hope he offers is to those who are stridently anti-abortion, anti-gay, pro Christian dominated government funded church programs, and anti-tax free lunchers.

Bush does not offer hope -- he offers a mixture of free luch, fear, hate and
American supremecy.
