Israel attacked us by mistake. It was in the fog of war and one of our ships of war was in the vicinity. Israel was being attacked in a war of annihilation only a couple of decades after Hitler killed 6 million Jews. The Arabs were trying to finish the Jews off. I think it is understandable that mistakes happen in a time of war.

Check out any statistics on friendly fire and you will be amazed. In both Iraq wars the U.S. has fought, friendly fire is par for the course. Not pleasant, but unfortunately very true.

To even imply that Israel attacked us with their eyes wide open is absurd.
