I read that 3 Vietnamese cases were due to they (those 3 are brothers) drank the duck blood raw from the contaminated duck they bought in the market

I always tell my grandchildren. "Don't drink the raw duck blood".

Jeesh.

The meal was last year and may have been the source of infection for the oldest brother, who developed symptoms Jan 1. However, the middle brother developed symptoms Jan 10 and the youngest went into the hospital Thursday, Jan 20.

The blood meal transmission for all three is utter nonsense (and well into the wishful thinking in la la land).

It's human to human to human - 3 generations.

They are recombinants and they are real (and the number of undetected or unreported cases is markedly higher than detected or reported).

Looks like the blood fest is not the source of H5N1 infection in Hanoi. Chain may be longer - index case's 2 year old child died before the blood fest.

Also looks like more human to human in Dong Thap

Virus obviously does NOT read press releases.
