Why would it offend anyone if someone else wants to bury aborted fetuses? Did they not dispose of them like yesterday's garbage? What do they care? Does it disturb them because it reminds them they've taken a life?

BTW, you didn't say what you think of it.

It appears to me that Dr. Hern has a conflict with this event. Maybe more than one. For example, referring to the fetus simply as some discarded tissue while raising the issue of trauma for women. Herns expresses outrage over the burial and refers to it as a death ritual... duh, what else is a burial ceremony supposed to be thought of? Then the concern that it will effect the Roe v Wade issue, which is perhaps the only real issue for Herns making the outrage over other stuff seem rather contrived for political purposes.

Quietly mourning aborted fetuses is one thing. Publicly holding a service on a specific day with a thousand fetuses to make a political point is quite another and has nothing at all to do with "walking with you, sitting with you, crying with you".
"You" won't be there.
And "you" did not agree to have your aborted fetus be turned over to a church for a religious burial. What are women told about the disposal of fetuses before the procedure?

Maybe these Christians need to reread Matt 6:5-6-

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
