The reason for the developed countries want to give aid to Africa now are, IMHO,
1)they want to get rid off the abundant oversupply;
2)they want the access to the rich natural resources in Africa;
3)and maybe along with a couple of military base for the US and NATO<g>

There is no free lunch in this world. Aid is not free either. China is smart enough not to ask for anything from the developed country.

"G7 expends to G20"? What is the point? just one more bureaucratic organization which ends up screwing developing countries by the rich. Look what IMF and World Bank have done in 1997 Asian currency crisis. The only thing they have done is Damage! Adding salt on the wounds! And some research shows that most of the hot money flowing into Southeastern/Eastern Asia were not from hedge funds, but from the short-term loans from international banks! So as soon as they saw a little signs of reversal, they escape. This is exactly the same reason now China keeps a huge foreign reserve. China simply do not want to see what happened in that Asian currency crisis happens in China.

WTO is not much better, most of its regulation is beneficial for developed countries only, not for developing countries. Face it, the rich countries and multi-naitonal corps. are the ones who set the rule of the game.
