<President Bush is living in the Land of Delusion>

Delusions, in the strictest mental terms, is if a human being vehemently prefers their own inner constructs over and above what evidentially exists and can be seen by externally directed perceptions. From such delusions comes mysticism. Mysticism is a term developed way back in historical Classical Greek times. It simply meant "to close one's eyes". In such terms, a mystic closes his eyes to the observable evidence of an external world around him, preferring instead a self-made internal world, which has no connection to external reality.

Back in Aristotle's days in Athens, the hard thinking and rational Greeks had an inoffensive term for individuals so afflicted. They said that their minds had been touched by Gods. By that they meant that human reason could no longer reach them. For as long as such people were not violent, they tried their best to make their isolated lives comfortable. Then they left them alone in their delusion.

Back in the real world, external aggression always and inescapably leads to internal repression.
