Good question. I think with the Bush's there's always that element of finishing unfinished business. But more generally, Republicans feel that Iraq was a living testament to the U.N.'s impotence. I think the good thing that has come out of all this, is that more people than ever realize that the U.N. has no teeth. It is a place known for its invective and for it's lack of consensus. But when it comes to getting things done, it is powerless without the U.S.'s cash and military. Again, as I've said before, I think we need to form a new U.N. called the U.D.N.-United Democratic Nations. This inclusion of tyrants and proliferators isn't in anyone's best interest.
