You do realize that these low wage jobs abroad in most cases represent tremendous opportunities for advances in living standards for those you seem to disdain?....Lifting the economies of others AND making a profit is far from evil.

OF COURSE IT'S GREED, stupid! It's called CAPITALISM. It's built on self-interest. No one TOLD you?

Would you rather be FORCED to pay $75,000 for an unreliable clunker made by Ford or pay $20,000 for a good car made by Toyota. Dumb question. In the poverty forced on you, you couldn't afford the $75,000 clunker.

Low wage countries will continue to be a magnet for corporations that will put profits in front of people for a long time to come. I guess until all wages in the world are low and everyone competes on a level playing field.

You liberals used to (still do; see below) complain about how the Westerrn companies and countries were impoverishing the 3rd world. Now they're bringing them up to a world standard of living. And guess what? YOU'RE STILL SCREAMING, BITCHING, AND WHINING!

You mean you're so dumb you couldn't see the consequences of what you advocated? The rest of us could.

Capitalism, when allowed to lope the globe looking for cheap labor, thereby increasing our trade deficit and weakening the dollar for the homeland, becomes like a giant pyramid scheme.
So you really do prefer grinding, killing poverty.

You're on your own.

Those that get in early, ie those that are already rich, get richer.
Who are you referring to? The English nobility that started the colonies? Jay Gould? Bill Gates, whose family was wealthy but by no means as wealthy as him? Larry Ellison, whose family wasn't wealthy? Andy Groves, same thing? Who?

Those at the ever-widening bottom of the pyramid get a low wage job.
Or get rich because they make the right decisions and work their butts off, unlinke you.

is that there ain't much room at the top.
There's plenty of room at the top. You're just too d***ed lazy to get there.

Get off your butt, get to work, and quit whining.

Right. The hell with survival and profitability. Management should throw that out of the equation...

The cause of outsourcing is greed. Bush doesn't have a monopoly on greed. The big corporations around the world will sell out their roots for their shareholders...and profits every time it seems.

Low wage countries will continue to be a magnet for corporations that will put profits in front of people for a long time to come. I guess until all wages in the world are low and everyone competes on a level playing field.

Capitalism, when allowed to lope the globe looking for cheap labor, thereby increasing our trade deficit and weakening the dollar for the homeland, becomes like a giant pyramid scheme.

It's multi level marketing on a grand scale. Those that get in early, ie those that are already rich, get richer. Those at the ever-widening bottom of the pyramid get a low wage job...and a dream of some day making it to the top. If there's anything that we learned from Amway...the multilevel marketing icon...is that there ain't much room at the top.

Those at the top want to keep it that way too.
