Mary,

The problem is, there are too many stupid scientists and stupid univeristy presidents who don't know the difference between correlation and causation.

Lot of things correlate, but they have nothing to do with causation.

Actually a lot of scientific study does exist on these subjects and not by stupid scientists. What happens is that bigots look at the research and they make a bunch of hay about causation.

The result is that a lot of folks backed out of doing or even talking about the research due to the pressures associated with how their work was being viewed.

As an example a lot of brain function research was being done in the early '70's and found that women and men used their brains differently. Neither feminists or their opponents liked it. When newspapers discuss such papers only some facts get hilighted.

Left handed men and right handed men also use their brains differently. No one made much of that.

Do you use any medicine that is for women only? When someone studied that - did you compare them to Nazi's or refuse to use the medicine?
