There were no such references that I could see. That was an obviously deliberate decision. What I did notice was an attempt to inform the people of the US and the world at large as to the position of the USA in world affairs. So what did I find that to be? I noticed that the president focused on the Principles on which the USA is founded and stands firmly to this day. We will stand for freedom beside those who are being denied liberty wherever we may be called in the world that we can levy our influence. Reminded me of the Gettysburg address: “this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Sorry that doesn’t work for you but maybe it is time for you to reconsider.
