Same old, same old, jpg. I'm making slow but steady progress with my knee. My knee doctor still wants me to wait for more progress before he will OK reconstructive surgery on my ankle. I took 2nd place in my football pool. That was a nice infusion of cash. We signed up for Blockbuster's version of NetFlix last month. It's $3/month cheaper than NetFlix. Unlike NetFlix, you get coupons every month for 2 free game or video rentals at a local store. And they sweetened the pot by giving us a free copy of the Bourne Supremacy on DVD to take their free trial. Blockbuster has basically the same number of titles as NetFlix (over 30,000) & their turnaround time is about as fast. And I'm impressed with their selections. I have over 130 selections in my queue right now & there are a bunch I will add as I work through my current selections. It's a lot cheaper than renting videos one at a time from the store. I figure we pay about $1.25 per video with Blockbuster online. In fact, it's essentially free for us. We dropped three premium movie channels (Showtime, Cinemax & TMC) & two unnecessary digital channel groups; we will miss only one channel in each. We're saving far more per month on our cable bill than Blockbuster online costs. And the nice thing is we're selecting precisely what we're going to watch, then we watch it when it is convenient for us. Like way cool man! :-)
