I for one, doubt 100K is an accurate figure. Let me give you an example. What if I wanted to get a picture of the age distribution of our population? If I went to a public high school and pulled my sample just from that high school, I might come to the conclusion that the country is predominantly 15-18 years old. Not a good projection.

The truth is neither of us know the real number so I can't legitimately dispute your 17K figure nor you can't my 100K number. I think we may never know the truth. But what I can say is we did a lot of bombing in Baghdad and other cities. At 17k dead out of a total population of 24 million, it seems to me that either our bombs are not that effective, or Iraqis have a knack for getting out of harm's way.
