Money is something most people understand, including judges. Did the judge's charge to the jury get published yet?

Once the jury determined it was all about the money, their entire mindset probably changed, making it easy to convict him.

I think you're right. I think also that Royer's testimony was extremely damaging to him, and to Tony.
