I don't see why you'd have to call them names. Maybe you could practice in advance working out a way to disagree with their beliefs without calling them any epithets. It's always better (imo) to avoid doing something you will regret so much that you have to apologize for it. And to plan, contemplate, anticipate, something like that in advance seems completely illogical to me.
