Homosexuality is well documented in human culture, such as the Greeks and other tribal groups in the Amazon and early American Indians. In those scenarios, it was a means to population control, when too large a population threatened the tribe with starvation. But those were societal choices. The greatest amount of sociological, documented evidence that we have today points more clearly to homosexuality as a human choice, not a genetic necessity. I might also add that the taboo against homosexuality today is also a human choice.
